ABOUT
My first love professionally is writing: exploring, analyzing, reflecting, synthesizing, expressing, and refining. David McCullough says, "Writing is thinking.” Yes. He goes on: "To write well is to think clearly. That's why it's so hard." And that's also why it's so rewarding.
In my current role, I apply what I learned from the publishing industry (how to craft knockout pitches and manuscripts, how to launch a book and run a bestseller campaign) and my experiences in higher education marketing and communications (how to use storytelling to make the case and connect philanthropists with their passions). The goal? JMU’s office of Corporate & Foundation Relations brings in millions of dollars each year to facilitate breakthrough programs and meaningful research.
